No… no… Now what will little miss ring finger do!?
Yay! I got a tumblr! Not like anybody really cares, but after hearing about it for the five hundredth time I thought I would get one. I love how we can refer to it as “getting” or “having” a tumblr or any other social networking site for that matter. In truth we don’t obtain anything from signing up other than a urgency for repetition. “I just woke up!” “I just got home!” “I’m going to bed!” everyday, and the next, and the next. I know what your thinking [whoever (no one) is actually reading this]. Your probably thinking “Well that’s a pretty cynical way to look at it”. Which yes, it may be cynical. It is also truthful, in a way atleast. While we gain the ability to make new friends and reconnect with old, we develop a mannerism that defines almost anyone who frequents a social networking site. Admit it, you noticed too. Everyday is the same in one aspect or another. While reviewing my own Facebook, I have found that I post (during a higher amount of usage on my own part) things that are similar in content and near the same time of day. So I conclude that after using a social networking site for enough time causes me, and quite possibly you, to fall into a “slump” of sorts. Of course, that may not be the case at all. It could just be that I’m weird like that. Yeah, that’s probably it.
